My Approach
My approach to therapy is to be a supportive guide for my clients. I collaborate with individuals and couples to create a path tailored to their unique needs. I strive to ensure you feel safe in our space to share, reflect, and grow, while exploring what may be contributing to negative feelings or a sense of being stuck. Using evidence-based interventions and modalities, I work alongside you to foster insight, clarity, and meaningful forward movement.
Therapeutic Modalities
I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Gottman-informed approaches for couples. Through a collaborative process, I tailor my approach to each client’s unique goals, needs, and preferences, ensuring that therapy is personalized, supportive, and growth-oriented.
What to expect in your first session and beyond
The therapeutic relationship is one of the elements that make therapy most effective. In the first session, we focus on not only why you have chosen to start therapy but also on understanding how you became the person you are today. This includes intake questions to learn more about your history and the factors impacting your current situation. Together, we also formulate collaborative therapeutic goals.
As we continue working together, each session will focus on addressing your concerns and moving you closer to your goals. Over time, you can expect to gain insight, notice patterns, and develop strategies that support meaningful growth, helping you feel clearer, more connected, and more aligned with your values.
